Stafford House is a gorgeous property tucked away behind a treeline in Fairfax that makes it feel like a weekend away from the city. Everything from the host greeting us outdoors as we arrived, the comfy bed, in-room jacuzzi and sauna, room delivered breakfast, the atmosphere, and well maintained rooms was incredible. I highly recommend staying here and I cannot wait to visit again!
My wife and I booked the King room for our wedding night. The owner was so kind and helpful. The room was HUGE! Great decor and amenities (hot tub and sauna), although we didn't use them. The breakfast that came with the room was so good! Belgian waffle with crispy bacon (Yun!) and some fresh fruit. Such a great experience! If you are in the area and want a cozy place to stay, I highly recommend the Stafford house.
This was the perfect place for weary parents to have a short, restful getaway. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There are excellent dining options within a short walk (<0.3 miles). Check-in and check-out were as easy as can be. We had a great experience!
We had a very pleasant two nights in the suite. Donna was a generous and communicative host. She gave us several recommendations for food in the area, and delivered breakfast straight to our room. The suite itself is very spacious, nicely furnished, and well maintained. The tub is huge! The sauna in the bathroom was icing on the cake. The location is great, a short drive from several shopping centers.
Stayed here ahead of my own residency. What a fantastic experience. From easy booking and simple check in, to being greeted when I first arrived… my stay was relaxing, refreshing and everything I hoped for and more. It was surprisingly quiet as this home withstands and seems to block out all the noise near a busy street. The bed was so comfortable, food was absolutely delicious, and the home is immaculate. She accommodated my dietary needs and was always available to help me even when I mistakingly locked myself out of my room. I felt welcomed and she is a spectacular host and so sweet and kind. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to it in the future. Check out is simple…. Just leave after placing the keys on the table in your room. I couldn’t ask for a more simple, relaxed and easy experience with a total retreat and vacation vibe. Thank you for having me!

This place is gorgeous! I stayed in the queen room to kick off my birthday and Donna did not disappoint! Very clean, comfortable bed, streaming tv devices, loved loved the tub and shower, and lovely breakfast. Will stay again
Wonderful breakfasts delivered to your room between 7AM & 9AM. Peaceful. Warm & welcoming. Host Donna is delightful. As a longtime innkeeper, she is comfortable with guests & has thought of everything to ensure guest needs or wants are addressed, stress-free. Wonderful inn!
What a wonderful place to stay when visiting DC. 1000% upgrade from any hotel. Beautifully appointed, quiet, comfortable bedding, very clean and an incredible included breakfast wheeled right into your room. Donna greeted us upon arrival with helpful instructions, keys and asked for our breakfast preferences. She is very kind and provides exceptional, personable service. I highly recommend...you won't be disappointed! And only an 8 minute drive to the nearest metro to boot!
Had a nice relaxing stay here with my husband. Donna was attentive and the room was cozy. Having a sauna and jacuzzi in there was a nice touch. I liked how close it was to restaurants. The breakfast was great and I liked that we got both waffles and chocolate chip pancakes during our weekend stay.
